This is how the paint was removed from the interior adobe. It started with a chemical paint stripper, then a lot of scrubbing. The family room fireplace, all covered in paint. After the stripper and scraping, the guys from Tellez Masonry powerwashed the rest of the paint off, hence the plastic everywhere. Partway through the powerwash phase. What a difference, no? All of the adobe work is done inside of the house, so we are (slowly) moving on to the next few projects.
We have started on the kitchen cabinets, and we have a company in line to grind and finish the slab and brick flooring. The guest suite, laundry room and half bath will have a concrete overlay instead of tile. We apologize for the lack of posting recently - one of our pets has been extremely sick, and we have spent the past month tending to her. That, along with Rachel's new job, has slowed things down for the restoration. Hopefully, we will have the flooring done in March, and should be finished sometime after that.
